Advice please...

Ah thanks. Am so glad I found this board in this forum - lots of other boards have quite a lot of "why the hell do you..." type posters, but most people here are lovely! You're right, I am who I am, but most people think I'm something I'm not I guess. Most people who come across me in my world think I am an uptight, up myself cow. My friends know that that is far from the truth - my best friend had a conversation with a guy the other day about me, where he apparently said "uh, no, she's so scary!", so friend said "no! she's really lovely, honestly, try talking to her!" and he said "no way, she's too scary!". I don't honestly know why I'm so scary. I smile, I'm interested, I love meeting new people... but no one who ever meets me thinks I'm non-scary... eek! Once they get to know me... they're fine. So right now, I have issues with a friend at work who wants to get together, even though he's married - even he has said that until he got to know me, he thought I was untouchable. God. What do I need to do to be touchable to available blokes, rather than unavailable ones? Am rather worried by earlier reply that maybe I look for unattainable people to avoid commitment - I don't think I do...
