My boiler makes a horrible noise!

Hello
As the title says, my boiler makes a horrible noise! It is a combi boiler and when you run the hot tap, it makes a sort of moaning noise and it is really annoying! Any ideas if anything can be done about it? It is a Housing Association house but I don't want to call them out if it is just the way the boiler is. I think it is a Gloworm and the houses were built in about 1999 so it is prob. 11 years old.
Thanks
Sam

Do we assume that you have just moved in, so cannot say whether it has always done this?
Unfortunately a description of a 'moaning noise' isn't really much for us to go on.
A complete outside guess would be the gas pressure is too low.
All I can say is that it probobaly shouldn't be making this noise.0 -
If its a HA property then log a call and get them to check it out for you.0

Yeah I've not long moved in lol. It goes off if you run the hot tap faster. Also the water seems to be cold unless you do run it a lot faster. When you turn it up you can hear the boiler flare up (it's next to the kitchen sink).Everyone I know wants to be a millionaire.

Oh yeah, just remembered something. The boiler was supposedly checked just after we moved in (less than a month ago) and they reckon everything was ok with it.Everyone I know wants to be a millionaire.

If the boiler was checked a month ago all they will check is, is that it is safe before a new tenant moves in. Also checking a boiler is similar to an MOT on a car, it's only appicable for that moment in time what happens a week or two later is in the lap of the gods.
As for what you describe it would seem to me that the DHW plate heat exchanger is scaled up or you have a faulty thermister.... Even possible for the main heat exchanger to have a blockage....0
