Help with a boiler

I have a baxi 105e combination boiler which has all of a sudden shut down.
What I have tried...
Checked the main fuse which is ok.
Found pressure gauge at nil.
Tried to re-pressurise and gauge dropped immediatly.
Water coming from inside boiler
Emergency blow off is ok
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
Thank You

Well, to state the obvious, you appear to have a leak within the boiler and I would guess this has blown the internal fuse on the pcb.
It is pointless trying to do or check anything else until the leak is identified and fixed, then the boiler dried out.0 -
The leak from boiler only developed after fault was found when trying to re-pressurise boiler. Original fault was that power to boiler had cut itself off suddenly.
Main fuse at socket has been checked and is ok.
have tried to reset boiler to no avail.

Are there any lights at all on the front of the boiler?
Has the boiler connections been tested for 240vac?0 -
CDan't help with what is the problem, but check your house insurance to see if you are covered for this. Didn't relalise but I've had this cover for free for the last 10 years as I have insurance with my bank and its free for bank staff. May not be included but is worthing checking if theres a breakdown clause, could then call someone out.
Hope you fix it soon, typically the weathers turned colder again.0 -
Hi gas4you
No there is no lights.
Hubby seems to think it could be the safety thermostat that has cut out?
Thanks for that wadsleyowl I will give my policy a check0 -
Part of your question, you have already answered yourself. Starting from scratch why is the boiler leaking water? Where is the water leaking from? What is the water leaking onto? Water can leak from one side of the boiler and end up dripping on the other side, so you could have water seeping through the AAV drips down onto the wiring loom, runs along the wiring loom and into the main pcb. The pcb now nice and wet will blow any or all of the fuses that are fitted to the pcb normally these are either 1amp or 2amp glass fuses. If these are blown then they need replacing like for like do not stick a normal domestic fuse in the pcb. I would also check the fuse rating at the fused spur as this should have also blown. But like all things if you don't know what your doing with the gas boiler then get professional help.... Will cost you dearly if you get it wrong:)0

No lights points to the pcb fuse blown as I originally pointed out.
All I can do now is to refer you to my previous post.0
