WTC effects on other benefits

I live with a partner with kids on what was originally IB (not sure if the name for that has changed), and HB also. Partner is also receiving CTC. I have been looking for work, and have a possibility to do part time for 20 hrs/wk. Its at minimum wage. Any idea what the WTC would be worth for 20 hrs at minimum wage?
What will the effect be on existing benefits?
Also, I might need to become a carer soon for another person and not sure if I can continue part-time (because I also care for the kids given partner being sick). If not able to continue part-time, would it be best to apply for carer's allowance? Again, how would that affect the existing benefits?
I'd prefer to work, if possible.

If you become a carer they need to be in receipt of the appropriate DLA benefits. You need to be caring for them for more than 35 hours per week I think it is.
WTC does affect housing benefit and council tax benefit so if you get these you will need to notify the council so they can adjust your award0 -

Yes, it's 35 hours.
If you claim carers allowance, you can only earn £95 after tax and NI.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Thanks, I'm spending more than 35 hrs caring, for sure, and that limits my potential work to 20 hrs max. I'll check with the council - hopefully working part time will be worthwhile...0
