A few months ago I managed to wash my car key and after that the remote stopped working but didn't really bother me (!!) as I could use it to drive the car and I had another one.
Anyway last night using the other key, the car decided I was trying to steal it and wouldn't start but fortunately the car started with the faulty one.
However I noticed also last night that although I could lock the driver's door manually with the faulty key none of the other doors locked.
I've got the manual out today and apparently there is a switch that I've turned on each of the other doors which mean that they can be locked but when I open the driver's door manually they remain locked - although they can be opened from the inside - and if I want to lock them then this switch has to be turned.
Should locking the drivers door manually mean that the other doors should lock - which would mean that I've got a problem with my central locking and if I have would it be covered by my warranty (car is 3 years old in Sept) and as I really do need to get the issue of the keys sorted out how much will it cost .....have seen reports of it costing £120 + - and is there any way of getting repalcements cheaper?
