Payments would be paid early if the money was due on a bank holiday Monday.
If yours is due on a Tuesday, that should be paid as normal.
I find that I sometimes get an extra payment when I renew. I've always assumed this is to take account of any increases from the start of April, bringing you up to date, then new payments start.

Hi, if your usual payment is due on a monday then you would get it early, on the friday. As you said it is due on tuesday I would say the payment you received on thursday was a one off payment.
We renewed our tax credits 2 weeks a go and we got an extra payment in that same week when I spoke to the TC line they said it was because allowances had increased HTH0
