Hi all
I am an experienced ebayer, but rushing on last minute bidding I have messed up. I bought a Benefit blusher for my daughter £17 RRP £22 picture had the whole thing, but only the brush arrived this morning, checked listing and in description it says brush only doh!!
I have requested to return item and get a refund, not heard anything yet, but wondered if refused as the piicture was misleading do i have any claim through paypal, I know this is a long shot and will teach me to be more careful, but I don't really want to lose £17 on an item that is worthless
thanks for any advice

To be honest, I don't think you've got a leg to stand on - the description was clear. Chalk it up to experience. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

i have to agree, if you dont read the description its your own fault!I Don't like you!0

Sometimes the picture can be misleading, I bought some Olay moisturiser once, I read it and double checked it, but the wrong moisturiser (a cheaper Olay moisturiser) arrived. The only difference between what I thought I saw and what was actually on sale was the weight of the product. The packaging was identical. There was nothing I could do but I did wonder if the seller knew what he/she was doing . . .

I think your seller showing a picture of the blusher and brush was somehow being an itsy bitsy bit misleading.0 -
This is the scenario we all have problems with.
Two minutes to go...gosh that looks a bargain..do I need to read item description in detail...no a quick scan will do.....oops not quite what I was expecting.
We have all done it but hopefully only once.
Speak to seller nicely offer to return and cover all costs, otherwise take it on the chin and don't do it again ...

Hmmm, yes, I have been buying on eBay for years - today got my 'new and seasled' DVD in the post. Yes, new and sealed in a plastic wallet the copy DVD. I am off to ask for my money back and chance it. Do I risk getting the neg though - that is the worry right!!0

Having a negative is a bit worrying at first, but if you've got good previous feedback then in the big picture I don't think it's that important. I was really upset though when I got a negative, and it was through no fault of my own, just a nutcase buyer.
I would try to get your money back, you can start a dispute with ebay and/or paypal if you get no joy from the seller.0 -

Morally... yes, get your refund, then neg and report for selling pirate copies.
If he negs you back, just leave a calm follow-up.My TV is broken!

Ohh... report him to FACT too. Or local trading standards. Depends on your mood and how badly he deserves to get stomped on by the might of justice! My TV is broken!

There were 8 other bidders, so I wasn't the only one thinking it was for the whole thing  .
It seems a bit like when they used to put pictures of mobiles with their box, but when you read the description reallly carefully they were only actually selling the box.0 -
What was the title of the listing? Was it in the correct category for make-up brushes? My TV is broken!
