Faster payments on an online savings account

Hi guys

I am looking for the an online account with the best interest rate whch offers Faster Payments both in and out and was hoping someone could help me.

I have been told the AA doesn't offer FP outwards.

Next up, according to Martyn, is the Barnsley BS online saver. But I can't tell from their terms and conditions whether they do or not, see hre:

Does anyone know for sure or do you know what the highest paying account is?

Thanks

Tesco does - I think their current rate is 2.75%

Lloyds Vantage - 4% with conditions

    Thanks for these suggestions.

Unfortunately, my Tesco account has just passed its bonus period so the rate has dropped and I need to close it - and open another one 6 months later.

Plus, I don't really fancy moving even money around with a Lloyds Vantage account as I have enough regular savers as it is!

    Any other ideas?

    Is that true?
When they last had a good bonus - I just opened one and they transferred in the money from my existing Tesco account.

Also LLoyds Vantage is effortless to operate - many do the £1000 a month by standing order; I prefer to do it manually so shuffle £1000 from account 1 through the others and back to 1 each month. Never put any new money in and it takes about 30 secs :)

Alliance & Leicester at 2.75%. Possible £20 cashback too.

Limited to £250 out as Faster Payments but you can make quite a few (I've made 5 one after the other).

Barnsley accept FP in but not out.

And the FPs in, when you pay on say a Thursday, will not show until Friday. If you FP on a Saturday there tends to be a bit more delay like pre-FP days, so it'll be credited and dated on Monday's date rather than the date it was FP'd.

Same as previous poster with Tesco when my bonus ran out I opened another one and transferred in the old balance. I know a lot of people had problems setting this account up but I must have been lucky it's worked really well and transfers via faster payments instantly.

I had no idea it was possible to open another account while having an existing Tesco Internet Saver account. I've just applied for another one and it seems to have been accepted.

I can't help wondering why there's a bonus period at all if you can simply just open another account and, effectively, "reset" your bonus...
