Looking at New York hotels and best rate for the hotel I want is coming up through a site called agoda, which I have never heard of.

Has anyone used it & can re-assure me? (or not?!!)

Big Thai-based company, now owned by Priceline.....hence some good deals on US hotels these days.

I wouldn't worry. They've been around a while and as mentioned they are owned by Priceline.
I used them last year to book a hotel in Seoul and didn't have any problems.

ive just booked a 4 night stay in Barcelona with Agoda and their way of displaying the price is missleading.

they quoted price of room per night and underneath a seperate amount for 'hotel tax and service fee'

there was no mention this was per night and not total.

they wont honour the price match with lastminute.com , so ive ended up paying more than i needed to.
