I have got so much to do today, I really shouldn't be on here, please will someone wrench the laptop out of my hands and force me to go and get on with 'stuff' please!
Ryan is going to my Mum and Dad's for the weekend - they wanted him to stay a few weeks ago, but I didn't want him to think I was shipping him off somewhere because I had a new baby instead, so I asked them to wait a few weeks. He loves going there though, as there's a huge park nearby, with a brilliant kids cycle area, marked out with roads, roundabouts, junctions etc. There's also one of the best playgrounds I've ever seen!
So I need to pack his suitcase, clean and tidy the bathroom, kitchen and living room so my Mum and Dad don't see what a mess it is lol! I also need to go to the supermarket for some fruit and veg, and to Mothercare to look for a nursing bra, and make something half-way edible for tea. Oh, and look after Natasha in amongst too!
But I'm sitting here chatting, watching tv and doing a quiz....
Talking of which, can anyone think of the answers to any of these - they're cryptic clues and the answers are all drinks (alcoholic/soft etc):
- Affected mixed air (7)
- Retired? (7,3,6)
- Drunk girls pong in the sea (9,5)
- Sounds like a tipple hypochondriacs would choose (9)"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I've already confessed my liking for rough and ready nothern blokes on a thread elsewhere lol- pretty boys just don't do anything for me either.
I dont like clean shiny pretty boys either.
For me, people that make me laugh float my boat - Peter Kay, Billy Connolly etcLife would never be dull or boring would it?
I'd agree with Gordon Ramsey too, he's gorgeous.
Not my type, but the bloke that's in Big Brother has a very attractive lisp type speech thing :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi Snaggles,
not been around much recently (trying to organise holiday) but just wanted to say keep up the breastfeeding, ignore those who try to put it down (like mother!) as others have said if her nappies are wet and dirty you are doing fine:cool: .If Natasha is anything like my DD you wont be able to stop!!! I eventually had to tell DD that my boobs had stopped working:D She was 17 months and it was getting rather embarrassing!!!!!!!!!:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Thanks jinky, I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but if someone tells you you wont be able to do something often enough, you start to believe it.
But I've got a lovely, contented little baby (apart from a bit of colic that's giving us our first taste of sleepless nights lol), so I'm feeling a lot more confident about it now. You did really well feeding your daughter for 17 months, that's amazing. I managed 10 months with Ryan, although only morning and night towards the end.
I've been expressing some milk and freezing it, but haven't tried her with a bottle yet. I'm going to wait until she's about 6 weeks, apparently that's the best time, as feeding is well established by then."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Good luck with that then...DD wouldnt take one at all or a dummy.
We spent a fortune buying various different bottles teats etc in case she would take them.
HA HA didnt work:D:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I wondered if I might have that problem too, DS hated taking a bottle and it took us ages to persuade him. He'd have water from a bottle, no probs....but milk comes from Mummy!
Ah well, if she wont take a bottle, it just means I'll have an excuse to be anti-social and stay at home for the next few months, just happily cuddling my baby and being a milk machine :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
That doesnt really mean you have to be anti-social you know!!!!
Just remembered something else I was going to say Bravissimo also do maternity & feeding bras you would probably get more support from one of them?:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
But it's comfy here on the sofa....please don't make me go out and socialise!
I'll have a look at Bravissimo, thanks. It's not somewhere I've ever looked but I know a few people have mentioned them. I had a feeding bra with ds, and I just felt so dumpy and saggy in it, I wouldn't wear it outside of the house.....so it was a waste of money lol! But if I could get a nice one, it would definitely make things easier."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
