haha I was very sick with my DD (no one warned me that might happen!!) and as I'd been a bit ill the previous few days, all I'd eaten were satsumas!! You can guess the rest...the gas and air also turned it a funny colour I'm sure! Lovely :D

I didn't get the hang of the gas and air really last time (I know...you just breath in, breath out....what's not to get?....lol), and it didn't help much, although I did use it while I was being stitched up. Hubby tried it though and said it was great!

No one ever warns you that you get sick in labour, would have been the best contraceptive to me, I told hubby I wanted to be sick so he would pass me a cowboy hat, all he could find was a shringe tray - got him!

You know when the contractions start stepping up not when they are unbearable thats when you start on the gas and air nice and deep at the beginning caus you tend not to be able to do that when they are at there peak. Then when you are going down the mountain on the contraction get a sneaky drunk deep breathe in - lovely!

I know!! How crap is that - not only do you get the pain, the loss of dignity, the possibility of pooing yourself, but you throw up as well........

And I thought this would be a good idea????

Yeah, until the snotty midwife comes round, lifts your top up, grabs your boob and forces it into your baby's mouth!

This time I'm getting a t-shirt that says 'This Mum can manage her own mammaries, thanks'!

Hmmmm....might have to work on that slogan a bit......

I remember lying in bed the next morning and felt my tummy and was amazed how flat it was..........then I found it laying bed next to me- it had just slid round the side!
