Challenge for 6 years study

I am a mature student, about to start an access course, followed (i hope) by 5 years of uni study. It's an intensive course so hours available for work are severly restricted. My plan is to leave with a minimal amount of debt and wondered if there was any one else about to study who would like to compete with me to see who can come out of all this best off?
