Checking Virgin Media messages from another phone?

Our landline's not working (definitely the line and not the phone as we've tested another one in it's place.) Hasn't worked since at least yesterday morning, possibly earlier but we're not sure. It was definitely working Wednesday.

Anyway, I found a missed call on my mobile yesterday from an unknown number. I'm job hunting at the moment and am worried it might've been someone trying to get in touch offering an interview. My house number is also on my CV so if they tried to contact me on the landline, they wouldn't have gotten through but would've reached the Virgin Media answer machine.

So, is there any way I can access our Virgin Media answerphone messages by using a different phone? I tried looking on their website but couldn't find anything.

Do you pay for your voicemail or is it the free version?

It's the free version.

As far as I can remember from when I worked at Vigin Media you can't access free voicemail remotely, only from your landline With the paid for version you have a pin number which enables you to access it from anywhere.

Tut! Ah well. Thank you for the help.

Dad's supposed to be phoning Virgin from work today about it. So hoping it'll get sorted. In the meantime, I've turned on my voicemal on my mobile.
