Pitta Bread problems!

I couldn't find any pitta bread in Asda this morning, and when I asked someone on the bakery where it was she said that a couple of days ago they were told to remove all the pitta bread, all brands, from the shelves immediately. She said no reason had been given, they were just told to do it straight away. Can anybody throw any light on it?
Oh dear, here we go again.

That has reminded me of that old song 'Mouldy Old Dough' by Lieutenant Pigeon. :D

Which is played before every Oldham Athletic home game, and is also associated with Stock Car racing.

I've tried 2 Asda's to get pitta with no luck. The assistant I spoke to said they hadn't had any for a while but didn't know of a reason for it.

Glad I have the ingredients in and the time to make some.

OH and I have been looking for pitta breads for a few days now in our local Asda and just assumed they were out of stock. Stumbled across this thread and can't believe other people are having the same problem. Hope its nothing too serious as we love them (especially the wholemeal ones)...bit worried now lol.

There was a printed sign at my Asda(on the edge of the shelf where pitta should be) saying something about problem with the supplier and hoping to get it sorted soon.
