Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me please, I bought my daughter a dress as a gift, from the Jane Norman shop in Queensgate Peterborough. It's not suitable, the problem is that due to illness I'm unable to get to Peterborough to return it for a refund. I have emailed them, but just thought I would ask if anyone knew about this situation on here.
I looked on their website for their policy, it only gives instructions for items bought online, which have to be taken to a store. Do you think I'll be able to send it back to the shop by post for a refund please?

Unless they have a policy of accepting goods back you have no entitlement to a refund. They my give you a refund or credit note but in the absence of any policy it is up to them. Not all shops are like Marks & Spencer!0

Hi, yes they do accept items for refund, as it says so on the receipt, my problem is that I can't get to the store, so would like to post it to them,

Indeed ask. Problem will be getting money back. How did you pay for the goods. Credit card debit card details will be needed. Not sure if store will be bothered to issue a cheque!0

I paid by debit card, so I could give them the details.0

Don't like the idea of giving them your bank details, what if the parcel went missing in the post along with all your bank details.
Is there any chance you could get someone to take the item back for you or is there another branch nearer to you that you could have it returned to?
Try emailing Head Office if they have one, they may be able to help

Just don't put any sensitive information (like credit card details) in an email. Emails are not a secure method of communication as they are sent unencrypted and can be read by anyone with access to the mail servers that the message passes through.0
