Sign on at the job center ASAP.
Talk to all the people you owe money to so they know you have a financial propblem

You may need to also consider claiming money and maybe unfair dismisal but htat wil depend on more details.

Talk to ACAS about what to do.

How long had you worked there?

What notice should you have had?

    What payments did you get?

Sorry to hear this OP, hope you havent deserted us.
As has been said, you need to sign on ASAP, and fill in other benefit forms you may be entitiled to like council tax, with regards to the mortgage you can get help with this after a set period, but would need to be on JSA Income based, ie have little savings or other household income. In the meantime, see if you can phone the mortgage company and go on a mortgage holiday, to help for the interim period, or go on to Interest only perhaps?
If you have a spare room, could you consider taking in a lodger to help out with the household finances?
With regards to the redundancy, there should have been proper procdures followed, how long had you worked for the company, there could be a case here for unfair dismissal.
