I think it was £10 for one grey ugly bottle. Available to merlin or legoland pass holders, & offering free refills at any Merlin attraction for the rest of the season.

It also has a tendency to leak. But if you want to drink your own bodyweight in coke throughout the year, it's the bottle for you ;)

Or just buy a normal one and keep taking it back.....we've done that a few times now with the standard red one and no one has batted an eyelid. I didn't even know they did a pass holder one!!

I must say- if you can stretch to passes, you may find it really useful. Especially if you are within a reasonable drive of the attractions. We're in Southampton but can get to most of the Merlin attractions within around 90 minues and it is really handy on a weekend in the spring or autumn to just go to Thorpe Park or something for the day. Also handy for the London attractions which we combine with whatever else we have planned in London. I think we've had good use of ours (through Tesco)

You do get some other "perks" with the pass too- free parking at alton towers, 20% off in the restaurants and some % in the shop (10% I think) and all the savings add up.

Lol, I agree the Merlin pass bottle is very ugly looking and would not last throughout 2010 if it was used as a drinking bottle. I just fill it up and share it out into disposable cups when required. They are pretty strict though with it in Legoland and Chessington as they have always asked to see the Merlin pass when we get a refill. Thorpe Park they did not ask on a couple of occassions.

    Hi,

Am thinking of going myself, but not convinced on any of the deals.

For 2 adults and a child, entry would be:
    Standard: £104!
    Standard with a BOGOF: £66
Online Price (cant use the BOGOF) : £83
Tesco Clubcard: £30 - which sounds cheap but these would be worth £120 of other deals!

    Any way of reducing this?!

We have been on a two day pass with hotel stay in the past (most include breakfast and some do free meals for kids) and looking at the website you can get a weekend for around £120 at the mo. I also signed up on website and get offers through periodically. We found that gave us the first day checking out all the rides, we were then able on day two get there for opening time and head straight for the really popular rides first. We live quite far away so wouldnt be worth going only for a day though.
    SPC 2011 #758 - no target just a surprise #20 - £365 in 365 days 4/365 Olympic chal #46 - debt free by July 2012 £6739/£18939

Dont know if it will be any help but I went into Burger King on Thursday and when I paid for the meal they gave me a voucher for a free Adult to get into Legoland or one of the other Merlin parks.

Thanks for the tip on the grey bottle, we got one today for £15. Yes they are ugly and have no lid but what a bargain! I need not buy any more drinks for the rest of the year on day trips. We filled it up 3 times today, so it's half payed for itself already! Thanks again.

They are naughty as it was £10 before the end of April on a special offer, now we are more into the season putting it up by 50% to £15! Still like you say it is good value as we will use it all season at the parks and Warwick Castle. As we are off to AT for 4 days in the half term, it will def save on drink prices, plus I hate carrying around drinks and having luke warm drinks.
