I don't come on here much now, I don't even comp much either but do have a quick look at the iwiwiw section. But I really want to thank cistolic for the poem they sent me a while ago. I've just reread it with tears in my eyes. Today I am going to the wedding of a very dear friend of my sons who is in his early 30's and who's been coming to our home for over 20 years. It's also a goodbye. The wedding was to take place when he was in remission from leukemia. The leukemia is a very agressive form and after 8 months mostly in hospital he had a bone marrow transplant a few weeks ago. The leukemia came back whilst he was still in hospital and he only has a very short time left with us. It should be a happy day, but god only knows how hard today will be. How do you smile when you only want to cry. The nurse brought all the equipment he's going to need yesterday and they aren't allowed to go anywhere as his consultant wants him near to the hospital.
To everyone who gives and has given bone marrow you don't know how wonderful you are, you give hope and in most cases it works. Don't be put off by this you gave him a last change.

To the new Mr and Mrs Y I wish you strengh and time, you have enough love for the world. God bless you both.
