Strange things when opening browser - Linux

Suddenly when I open browser on my netbook it has started opening 3 tabs at a time: the first one says Mozilla / Welcome to Firefox, the next one says iGoogle and the third one says thank you for installing google toolbar - which I haven't done!!! Then I have to acknowledge toolbar before it lets me do anything else.
It's a Linux with Linpus os. It has never done this before, normally just goes straight to my google homepage - not igoogle. I don't know how this has happened and can't get it back to normal. Could it be a virus? I thought you couldn't get viruses on Linux?
Please excuse my limited knowledge lol.
Thanks, Saz.

In Firefox, go to Tools>Add Ons. Is the Google Toolbar listed anywhere there? If so, disable or remove it and see if that sorts out your problem0

Thank you, that's stopped the 3rd tab... It's now just bringing up two, the first being the welcome to firefox one - http://en-gb.www.mozilla.com/en-GB/firefox/2.0.0.14/firstrun/
The second being igoogle!
What could this be all about?

Somehow you (or an extension) saved one Firefox session and it always starts with this saved session. Have a look in the "General" tab under "Edit" -> "Preferences" and change the startup behavior.0 -
In Firefox, go to Edit > Preferences and the Main tab, should show an entry for Home Page - there may be multiple entries in here, one for each tab. Delete the ones you don't want. If you don't want a home page put about:blank in the box.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Haha! It's working a tab at a time

Now it's just the one - homepage is set to https://www.google.co.uk yet redirects to https://www.google.co.uk/ig?hl=en&source=iglk
Oh no, just checked and it's back to normal! Thank you everyone for your time, not quite sure what I did but it seems ok now

Well since I switched it off and back on again, it's doing the same thing, two tabs; mozilla and igoogle. It's as though it's telling me I'm new to firefox everytime I open browser.
I tried changing homepage but as soon as I close, then reopen browser the homepage has changed back to http://homepage.acer.com/rdr.aspx?b=ACAL&l=0809&c=6&o=lilp&d=309&m=aspireone&x=0825
it won't stay set as the one I set it to!! AARGH!!!:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -

(don't delete the current one just yet)0 -
I clicked on your link, but I cannot find my profile. I have no 'places' menu on my screen, or a 'home folder'. Hmmm.:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0
