Foriegn Students

Options
I am about to rent out a room in in my house on an ad hoc weekly basis to foriegn students through a local language school.
Do I need to inform my mortgage company and/or insurance company?

This is just "host families", so it's like a paying guest in your house. Mortgage company won't need to know.

Insurance might want to know, you don't say the age/duration of the students. Most people who take in students for a week here and there, from language schools, don't bother. Will they have keys to your house? Are they allowed out alone? Or are these teens that you pick up/drop off and are part of your family for a few days?

    Thanks for your reply.

Age ranges from 16 to 20 and the duration from 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
They are allowed out by themselves but I believe have to be home by a certain time and it is up to us if they can have a key or not (though I expect we will give let them have one to make things eaiser).
