Craghoppers coat, pocket torn after 2nd use. Can I get a refund?

Really not sure where I stand on this so I'm after some help! Would very much appreciate it
I bought a Craghoppers outdoor coat on the 6th March. I wore it twice and the zip on one of the main pockets has come away from the coat (the zip is fine, looks like it's the stitching). I want to take it back to the shop (an outlet store) because i paid £60 for it and I beleived it was a quality 'investment'. I could stitch it up, but it's the principle!
It's past the 28 day return period and I can't find any quality guarentees or anything, I no longer have the labels that came with the coat because it's been worn. My mum believes I'll be able to take it back, what do you think?
Thanks!

You may be offered a repair if it's just needing some stitching. Given the hassle of taking it back I'd just sew it myself if I were you.0

Thanks, yeah I've got the reciept. I'll give it a go jdturk, if they refuse I don't suppose there's much I can do but won't be too disheartened, I'll just stitch it up.

Also, you may perhaps be offered an exchange.0

My daughter had the same problem with a Craghoppers jacket, back in March.
She took it back and they offered her a refund or a new jacket. So i dont think you'll have a problemmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks for the help! Just to say I took it back yesterday and I was given a full refund, no questions asked. They offered me a replacement but I think I'll shop around for a different one
