Wait, I have found it on another page of the Easymobile website:

"Your FREE airtime will start when you have used your purchased airtime (£1)."

So the £1 payment qualifies as purchased airtime rather than some other kind of charge. Have I got this right?
"By not unsettling men, you will reassure them. By unsettling men either through timidity or malice, you are always compelled to keep a knife in hand." - Niccolo Machiavelli, 1469-1527
  • That's exactly what I made of it Caixta :D

And in the payment pages, it breaks it down a little further, saying top up (or something to that effect) £1, free credit £10, total credit £11.

Hope this clears it up a bit....probably not :rotfl:

I just did it and it tracked within ten minutes.

In case this helps anybody: I cancelled my home contents insurance with Abbey and renewed the insurance with MoreThan via quidco. My monthly premiums are now three quid a month less than with Abbey and I got £40 cashback from quidco.

I did mine last night and I logged out of quidco and back in and it tracked.

    the T&C Charges are...

Account closure & withdrawal of funds from your account £5
If you close your account with easyMobile.com & have a remaining balance you want to withdraw, it will be subject to a £5 charge. This covers our cost in relation to paying you the money by cheque or bank transfer.
so if you close your account and the balance is £0 then you won't get charged £5, only if you request any remaining credit back!

    Keeping your number active 75p
We apply a small monthly charge of 75p to your account until your spend exceeds £5 in a 3 month month period. This small charge helps us to cover our administrative costs to ensure we can continue to provide you with the great service as and when you chose to use your easyMobile SIM Card.

    A quick example:
If you spend £6.75 between January 1st to March 31st, you will not incur any charge.
If your spend falls to £3.49 between February to April, we will apply the 75p charge to your account on, or around, the 7th of May.

I'll probably use the sim for until I have £2 credit left, then cancel it! and nt claim the £2 credit back!

Theirs also something in the T&C's about automated top ups if you balance goes below £2. So be aware!

But I'll probably order 2 more anyway:o My mum lives 250 miles away so it'll reduce the call costs!

DEBT FREE for the first time in 10 years and with savings!

Thanks for this, I am not sure if I will bother though. I asked my friend for a referral link.

She has had a debt management company contact her as they say her account is over drawn by £2. She had actually closed these accounts so there should have been no charges.

If you go for it just make sure that you don't go overdrawn or if you do that you top up immediately.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!
