Anyone added cruise control to a new corsa?
I've just bought a new (to me) Corsa D and have read on a few other forums about adding cruise control and was just wondering if anyone on here has done it?
I've had a quick look on mine and think everything is in place so will hopefully be geting a stalk and then someone in W Yorks to tech2 if for me.

best asking on the corsa forums TBH however i know plenty did the same on the vectras0

LOADS of people do it to the Astra H and the Corsa D has very similar electronic systems
Easy if you have a clutch switch fitted (is it a diesel?)0 -
Yeah, it is a diesel.
I've read that I shouldn't have a problem with the switch but may have a missing wire.I had a quick fiddle this afternoon (so to speak) to try and see if it is there but wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for. There was a green/yellow wire that i remember reading about so hopefully that is it.
I think I will ask on the Corsa forums but the one I've been reading on needs new members to have their ac approved by a mod so waiting for that before I can search forum - nobody likes a noob asking questions that are covered a million times.0 -
Diesel Astras ALL have the wiring and switch so I'd assume the Corsa have too.0

It's not necessarily the same for your car, but just bear this http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/showthread.php?210011-Cruise-Control-not-available.-Grr! in mind before splashing out any cash.
You could possibly check with a dealer or Vauxhall by providing them the VIN or registration index?0 -

only 'plus' point is the parts are easily resaleable
okay it costs money but wouldnt be such a large loss
OP check the forums as you often get members with tech 2 equipment who can enable it for less than VX0 -
So far I haven't (in my limited reading) found anyone who hasn't been able to do it. The only problems they've had is with VX either not being able to do it or saying that it can't be done-I don't think they're too keen on people getting a £200+ option for as little as £50ish.0

Get in touch with the user "stampede" on Astra Owners Network (he's probably on other forums too)- I don't know how far away he is from you but he travels around a lot.
Sure he said he was doing some work on Corsa Ds. Did things to his base model Astra H that Vauxhall said weren't ever going to be possible.0 -
Thanks Kilty, found out that he is in the same neck of the woods as me so have sent him a message.0

Earlier petrol Vauxhalls justy used to plug and play. the diesel ones needed to be coded to the car with Tech2. Dunno if this still applies to the new crap.0
