DLA Payments

This is more of a rant but it would be nice if someone could agree with me. I am in receipt of DLA and I am to paid this every 4 weeks. I got my first four weekly payment on the 1st April. Surely then as it is to be paid to me every 4 weeks then I would expect payment on the 29th April. I checked my bank yesterday and today and there was no DLA. So I called up DLA and explained that I was due money yesterday and it was not in my account. She took all the info and then said "your next payment is tuesday." I explained that on tuesday it will be nearly 5 weeks since my last payment and am i going to be getting every four weeks. I was told that i would get my payment on tuesday and then she hung up on me.
Im annoyed by this as I am living on a tight budget and i need to know exactly when I am getting my money. I was depending on that money coming through yesterday and now have the change in the bottom of my bag to do me until tuesday. why are they telling me that i will get it every four weeks then not pay me every four weeks? If i get payment on tuesday when will i get my next payment????? I was mostly !!!!ed off by the fact that the woman on the phone was not at all interested in my concerns. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!UGHHHH!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

As it's a new award for you sometimes you would get the first payment early and then your letter would say when the next payment will be. Check the dates on the etter you received.
It's not good enough for her to have put the phone down, ring back and say that you think you were cut off before the lady (?) had time to explain.

Mines has been every 4th Tuesday since the day i was first awarded it, many moons ago.

I've always got mine weekly on a Wednesday, but most people get paid monthly..

I used to get mine at the end of the month and now its started going in at the start of the month. For future reference i'd probably suggest ringing up again and asking them to confirm in writing when you're going to be paid.

DLA is paid four weekly not monthly ie you get 13 payments a year thje date will vary because of this but the day is always the same

The DLA paydays are normally either Mon or Wed, and the payment may be available in a customers bank account the day before.

mines always been paid on thursday..............but i always knew i was special lol

Mine is always paid on a Wednesday every 4 weeks. I seem to remember that the daye of your payment is dependent on the National Insurance number. Something to do with the last two numbers.

I understood that weekly payments were going to stop but I could be wrong about that.

I get paid 3 weeks in arrears and 1 week in advance

I'd give Blackpool a call on Tuesday and they will tell you all that you need to know - the staff there are really helpful - well, I have always found them to be that.

mine is always paid on a Weds...If they owe you 1 weeks money, they will usually sort it out, and make a 1 off payment for the 1 week DLA they owe you, they usually send a letter so dont worry, i expect you will recieve the letter after they pay you any outstanding DLA you havent recieved
