Tomtom is very good because software is simple.
But if you need more customize, more options, better look I would recommend iGO8.
IMHO the best nav on the market.0 -
I bought my husband a Garmin Nuvi 200 last year as a birthday present and it's proven to be invaluably helpful and performed well - even on holiday in Canada. He absolutely loves it.0

Hello Flamingo
I'll move your thread to the 'I wanna' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Garmin's mapping leaves a lot of be desired, IME. Both an in-car unit I have (I forget which model) and my wife's handheld unit frequently seem unable to distnguish between a L/R turn and a bend in the road. This can be very misleading at times.
An earlier poster said Garmin's aftersales has a good reputation - it does, both here and in the USA. Garmin are great to deal with but their mapping needs serious attention.0
