    Tomtom is very good because software is simple.
    But if you need more customize,more options,better look I would recommend iGO8.
    IMHO the best nav on the market.

    I bought my husband a Garmin Nuvi 200 last year as a birthday present and it's proven to be invaluably helpful and performed well - even on holiday in Canada. He absolutely loves it.

    Garmin's mapping leaves a lot of be desired, IME. Both an in-car unit I have (I forget which model) and my wife's handheld unit frequently seem unable to distnguish between a L/R turn and a bend in the road. This can be very misleading at times.

    An earlier poster said Garmin's aftersales has a good reputation - it does, both here and in the USA. Garmin are great to deal with but their mapping needs serious attention.
