I took out a Breakdown cover of which was organised through Quoteline Direct for £58.00 of which covers me whilst abroad and in the UK, abroad for a maximum 90 days per year or any 21 day period. If they can't fix the car they will bring it back to the UK.
The good thing with this policy is that it covers any car upto 20 years old unlike the big companys

I can certainly recommend this cover.
It is "platinum" level and cover europe (including any towing charges off french motorways).
I have needed to use it a few times and it has been very good each time.
I am planning on renewing.
