Coolant leak on my 2001 petrol 1.6 Renault Megane

My car has started leaking engine coolant from somewhere - if I leave the car standing, I can see after a couple of hours a little puddle to the right (driver side) of centre under the car. There doesn't appear to be any oil leak (the puddle is slightly coolant-coloured and doesn't have the oil rainbow sheen to it).

I know I'll need to take this to the garage, I'm no mechanic, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be, and how hefty the bill is likely to get?

    Possibly water pump, radiator, hose.

    Get it sorted ASAP.

As above, but I assume it's not the aircon unit? (Condensation wich wouldn't be an issue)

Obviously run an eye over hoses and clips to see if any are loose and, as above, turn the air con off and see if it still does it

I don’t know about the 1.6 but on the smaller engined ones there is a pipe sealed (I think to the back of the water pump) which relies on an o ring rather than a clamp.

It’s an easy fix, new o ring is 15p but it takes an hour of dismantling to get to it.
