NEXT and/or Halifax secure

Firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I made a payment to my Next account 3 weeks ago via their online system entering my Debit card details etc. Now it hasn't taken and I have now missed my payment date and will have a 1 month late on my credit history.

In the past any 1 month lates have been Next and I had one due to drop off now which is why I know I definately made this payment as I am fed up of this happening just through an oversight, so as soon as we decided to keep the bag I paid for it.

Has anyone else had a problem where a payment hasn't gone through for Next or does anyone know if there is an issue with Halifax secure payments not going. Also know I was no where near O/D limit as it is £4000, but being mean I like my £5, so don't go overdrawn!

Have remade this payment via online banking so I have a 'paper' trail this time, but I am so frustrated and starting to doubt my memory, but I am sure that I did it as first time I locked myself out of Halifax secure, so next morning reset the password and tried again.

Why not just set up a DD for the minimum balance, so you won't get a late marker again?
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
