    Email from the BBC

    Hello everyone,

I am producing a documentary for BBC-1 about Supermarkets and Psychology. We are currently looking for contributors who are fanatical about their Tesco Clubcards -- or other supermarket loyalty/points schemes.

Are you a Clubcard Points collecting fanatic? Do you have any great stories, good or bad experiences etc. that you'd like to share?

If you think you, or someone you know, might fit the bill, please contact us on 0208 752 7077 and leave a message there or e-mail darius.bazargan@bbc.co.uk.

mcdonag - please tell them about the birds eye in beef deal from Last year - that was a brilliant one :)

I remeber them trips to all of the tescos in a 60 mile radius from me doing this to buy alot from MFI (Over £1300 of stuff :D:D:D )

Hmm, I have several thousand more points than that (I hope!).

I say 'I hope' because I'm waiting this Tesco mailing with bated breath in case they write me another letter and take any points away! The letter was what I like to call a 'wombling warning' and other MSEers have received it too when we have over-wombled!

Wombling is picking up bits of litter in Tesco carpark - or even instore by the till if you are daring - (like a 1980's womble) only the litter in question is Tesco receipts that have a barcode at the bottom and some points available to be claimed!!

Thing is, I picked up a few too many (used to go to CS desk to have the points added on manually every other day a couple of months ago, you just say 'I forgot my clubcard last time I was here, can you add the points to my card please?').

Result was a letter from Tesco Head office saying they had noticed the high number of manual points adjustments recently and did I have any problems with presenting my card at the till in future, etc, etc. Polite warning - I hope - and I have not added points manually since! :o
