Are you really going to base a purchase of several thousand pounds on the basis of one car being £20 cheaper than the other on car tax ???

Though theoretically, lower tax means lower Co2, which usually translates to lower fuel costs

but its one small part of buying/running a car and shouldnt be used as the main buying factor IMO
servicing/part costs can dwarf the savings

As the tax band is an indication of fuel consumption, fuel consumption is probably at the forefront of everyones minds.

Most maintenance parts are now available via a motor factors, so i dont think there is likely to be a mad variance there.

You can get most cars serviced for under £100 so i dont see how that could possibly 'dwarf' fuel costs, given typically a car needs serviced once a year?

    That is one shitty site.

I suggest you give up your 'career' as a web designer or take your spam somewhere else.

I dont think this is a spam thread from the O/P. I had checked their other posts and they do seem to be looking for a car.

The website is 'ok', not terribly useful though as it only shows new cars.

most cars serviced for under £100? thats a basic service
if you are keeping a car for a few years then it adds up
then some people want to retain dealer servicing as well
you have to look at service intervals not just costs.
then even simple factors like tyre size/spec can run up costs if they are an
    unusual size.
i said these factors could dwarf the savings, thats the difference from one car to another.so being one tax band higher could make a car cheaper to run when you key in other factors
