Hi QueenB honey! Nice to see you back...but also, kind of, not nice to see you back too...if you get my drift!?
Sorry to read you've hit a bump in the road. I sympathise. I am in the same boat although different family circumstances.
I was going along quite nicely but now this month I will be back in my overdraft big time and I have had to use CC too. I am paying it all off each month though as I would rather be overdrawn than owing more on the CC.
But at times I feel really p*ssed off that it's all gone wrong and the bl**dy car just needs one thing after the other (I'm not joking..it is literally one poxy thing one week and something ridiculous the next) and I feel like screaming and giving up!
But we can't give up. We have to take a deep breath and acknowledge this is a crappy financial period. We'll work through it just like we've worked through crappy periods before right? If we just give up, when the crappy period ends we'll sit back and regret we hadn't fought harder to keep the costs down wherever possible - even if it's pennies or a few quid here and there.
Hang in there love and - remember you're not alone.
Massive hug.

Hi hun (((((hugs))))). Know what you are going through we are living on exam money till Sep and have only managed to pay what we HAVE to rather than what we were doing. BUT... It will be worth it- kind of you investing in your future which can only be good.S**t happens, just try to keep focus ans try to stay calm, i speak as someone who has danaged my health with worrying-disnt change anything. So just try to keep strong, think about your future and look forward to your bright new futureBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.

mrs_mug wrote:My only advice to you is to face the worst case - add up exactly what the school uniform will cost, what a fridge freezer will cost and any other essentials that you have to pay for (big stuff I mean). Get an exact figure. Facing it usually takes some of the worry away for me. And then start working out how you are going to pay for it. See it as a lump sum and then you won't feel as out of control.
This is a short term set back, it is disheartening but it isn't all over yet.
Big hug for you.

Big thanks guys, really needed both the hugs and advice.
As usual once i came back here and spent some time looking about and had a good rant i am beginning to feel better.
Have decided to go back to basics, look at all outgoings again, did that earlier this year but always worth looking at again. In truth after i had had my little moan and sat down to think about things with the mists abit more cleared i realised that yes, i have to admit, maybe i was becoming alittle complacent. So i have to go back to living as cheaply as possible and putting more effort into the old bargain hunting etc. I also have to accept that for a little while things will have to get worse before they can get better again.
So giving myself a big kick up the bum, getting re-motivated and dragging myself out of my pity and tackling those problems and getting back to basics is my immediate goal. Back to baby steps :cool:Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash
