A lady I spoke to yesterday advised that they had to clear all old stock by Sunday. She was in the process of reducing items further. Most of the Ipod accessories were going down to £1 (all Ipods had gone). Saw one digital radio but don't know how much that was, the rest was mainly gift items and toiletries.

Hi guys- I've been away for 2 weeks and have spent hours reading through all your comments but I am still confused as to how you can ask for a refund and then rebuy the xbox? We bought 1 on the 17th of august for £74.99 ( I think!!) - when did they get reduced again and what do you say to the sales assistant, as getting it for a tenner would be oh- so- fantastic!!!! :beer: :T :T :T

just go instore and ask them if u can get a refund and buy it back at the reduced price.... that is all i did and they did it for me... customer service says it is the discretion of the manager or store staff and that they cannot do anything themselves.....

ring CS (number is on the back of your reciept...) and ask if you can return the xbox and buy it back at the reduced price...if they say no....ring again until you find someone who's says it won't be a problem (trust me they are there)....then ask for a customer reference number and the name of the person you are speaking to, so if you do have problems the branch can ring them to query it with the reference number u have.....(you need to have the brown box it was supplied in, if you havn't query that with CS, they may be able to do something about it,cos the branch will need that to scan for £10).
stand back and enjoy...thats what i did and although i felt a little uncomfortable in the shop i got mine reduced to £10....

After posting yesterday about my local Boots having loads of Ipods and wondering whether or not to be cheeky, (thanks to all of you who offered to go for me )I went in today and discovered one lonely little 40GB photo Ipod on the shelf for sale at £279 (all the rest scanned at full price, me and the SA double checked).

Asked the girl behind the counter to price check it for me and she almost fainted on the spot when she ran the price through her little machine.

So one very happy moneysaver with an Ipod for £10

being 16 has its drawbacks, eg I live practically in the middle of nowhere and I cannae drive yet, so can't get to a Boots to get one

At a tenner they are phenominal value, just wish i would have read this sooner and/or it would have been in the summer holidays!

A quick update - I went back, stated that I had called HO and they confirmed that I was able to do this. The sulky bloke called HO in front of me, then came back and silently refunded £64.99 onto my card without even looking me in the eye.

Needless to say, I am thrilled and my three sons will be extatic this christmas. I am now on the hunt for some cheap games.

Anyone still in dout about asking for a refund - swallow your pride and do it. Imagine what else you could do with £64.99!!

Electrical staff not too impressed, they've been scanning all their iPod stuff every day but didn't think to check the last Xbox When I left they were scanning everything in the department..
