wibbleboy wrote:I popped into the Boots at Metrocentre, Gateshead this morning. They had no Micros on the shelf, which was a little disappointing. I returned half an hour later to take another look at the cheap DAB radios and in that time two Micros packs had appeared. I grabbed one and am a happy chappie.
No staff discounts, but I did have my advantage card and printed off an "extra 150 points" voucher at the Advantage Points machine, so I got a couple of quid in points back.
I'm going to trade in my old GBA-SP at GameStation next week, apparently they're offering £25 for them. I doubt I'll want to play PacMan or RayMan either, so may just eBay those.
Got one at the Metrocentre this evening. Last one on the shelf.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

There wan't any option that I saw at the MetroCentre, the Micro bundles there were the Micro plus Pacman and Rayman in a plain taped-up cardboard box with a sticker on top stating the contents. There were only two bundles on the shelf, in the midst of the reduced DAB radios and electric toothbrushes. I don't think they even stock games there.
Not complaining though; the micros are really dinky, my SP was looking a little worse for wear and I wasn't ready to pay £90+ for a DS Lite.0 -

Hmm..what hasn't been mentioned here is that Boots has also reduced the price of their Nintendo DS bundles. The silver bundle is now £38.74 with 3 games (Madagascar, Animaniacs and Zoo Keeper), the blue bundle is down to around the £43 with Nintendogs, Zoo Keeper and case. The easiest way to find one is to ring Boots CS and ask them to check the stock for each bundle and find out which stores have them. You'll be lucky to find a silver bundle, though, as they appear to have sold out today. You should still be able to get the blue bundle. There's also a pink bundle that is probably reduced too, as these are now all discontinued lines. Boots also has the black Xbox on sale for £35. There are also different PS2 bundles on offer. I've managed to get the Big Quiz bundle, as previously mentioned on the thread (but it was £59, not £49). Another bundle is Silver slimline PS2 with extra controller, Grand Turismo 4, Sonic Mega Collection and Simpsons Hit and Run - £59.
Some stores will allow an inter-store transfer, by the way, so it's worth ringing stores that are nowhere near you and asking if they will do it. I managed to get a DS bundle and a PS2 bundle from a store that's 120 miles away from me - they are transferring it to my local store for free. To answer one person's question, though - the store was the only store in London with silver DS bundles in stock, but they don't have any PS2s or DS bundles left now. The staff didn't know the stock had been reduced - when they found out, they bought the rest! (Don't blame them!)

Which bundles do the stores you mention have, Andy? Cambridge told me they had no DS bundles left yesterday. If you're talking about the Folkestone store for Kent, then they said they never had any in the first place. If the London store you're talking about is Oxford Street, then they definitely don't have any left now. As far as I am aware, the Bristol stores did not have any DS bundles left as of yesterday. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
