Whats the difference between having Powerseller status and not having it?
I've been offered it a few times now and keep thinking about it but to be honest I'm not really sure what it all entails.. Can anyone give me a few pointers please?
Cheers in advance

As a bronze member (basic powerseller status) you get priority email support, access to the powerseller discussion board and invites to eBay events. It's nothing that great really. You also have the option of displaying the powerseller logo next to your eBay ID if you want to.
It's free, so if you qualify you may as well join.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I hear people expect miracles in terms of quick delivery if you have PS status. My TV is broken!

I've also noticed some members have 'me' next to their ebay id's, whats the difference between this and a powerseller

'me' pages basically allow you to promote yourself and your auctions. If you have a website you are also permitted to provide a link to it there.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

About me is always good I think if you provide some information about what you sell, your terms and conditions etc.
I tend not to use my powerseller status (not display the logo) as I think it does make people think you'll deliver the item right now. Also if people are trying to scam you they and they don't know any better they'll say things like "I don't want to ruin your powerseller status but I want ......." I think it sometimes invites trouble.
Good luck with it.0 -
I avoid power sellers........ I have had some not too pleasant experiences from them.
Delivery is one (OK a week late is OK 2 weeks?? and then not even contacting buyer!). Sometimes ,the items have been 'over glorified" .
Seems to me they are just businesses, I prefer to buy from small sellers better/more friendly service.
Thats just my personal experience, perhaps I am alone in this though! I quite like the ME links though!0 -

Take care with that as terms and conditions in your 'me' area are not binding. T and Cs, assuming they are in line with ebay policies must be on the auction page itself.
Also, I've only ever read two 'me' pages, and don't intend to ever read another one. One was a whinge about paypal and made the seller look really really flaky, and the other was a rant about how she was disabled and people kept ripping her off so she would neg anyone who didn't pay in 3 days...OK then, back away slowly and then run away.

Some of the ebay forum regulars have excellent me pages... how to spot an albatross (aka forum troll)... and there's one with a ton of antivirus and anti-spyware info and links.
Some do abuse them though... I remember seeing one which detailed the owner's quest for fertility treatment and encouraged people to buy so that she could afford it. Too far.My TV is broken!

Hi all
I've been a Powerseller for two years, I don't display the logo. The Power Sellers ebay forum is okay, I don't tend to get involved but there are some interesting tips there.
I'm not quite reaching the targets to stay a PS but it's not really heart-breaking if I loose it.
