there are are too many of these kind of people around here... attention is what they need...YummyMummy20 wrote: »you can guarantee some posters would never say some of the things they do in public, only with the anonymity of the forums to protect them. It does, however, really irritate me that people (especially those that haven't been in the situation themselves) feel the need say anything
the good thing is that whilst they're on here - they're not meeting real people

that is exactly what all benefit claimants will get if cam the man gets in, he has to pay for the reduction in inheritance tax for properties over 3million somehow, lets look after the rich the poor dont matter. And trust me i know, i lived through thatchers term of office, sooner have the bnp in charge
Same here, did you also live through the Labour administration in the 70,s ? and how they f*ucked the country up?..3 day week?, Power cuts etc?
Personally I don't think the Tories are any worse than the self serving bunch of morons in power now......0 -
The IFS report said that a couple with one earner on £40,000 would receive £10.48 in Child Tax Credit by way of benefits.
But if they lived apart, the non-working partner would get £65.45 in Income Support and £54.71 in Child Tax Credit, meaning that between them the two adults would be £109.68 better off
Errrr, yeah, but they'd be running 2 households?
I see degenerate has already made the point . This is probably time for a 'wish I could thank your post twice' @rse licking moment
Degenerate wrote: »All the talk of "loss of income" from cohabiting could just as well be applied to say that an unemployed person suffers "loss of income" from benefits when they get a job. So should we pay benefits to everyone, working or not? Benefits are intended to cover living costs for those who are unable to afford them, so when living costs reduce, or other income increases, the associated benefits reduce. There is nothing wrong with this concept, only with the moronic responses it elicits from Daily Mail readers.
On a good day I can laugh at the Mail, genuinely pity the idiots who pay for this twisted trash day in day out. I guess this isn't a good day, as I'm feeling pretty depressed that this kind of thinly veiled hatred towards the 'no-goods' *rolls eyes* -the torys demon single parents!- in society is actually taken on as gospel without any question by its seemingly numb-skull readers about the truth, relevance or real issues at play

I actually quite like the Daily Mail, someone at work buys it and I regularly flick through when the paperwork starts to depress me. It never fails to amuse.
The other staff members buy the Sun, the Star and the Daily Record and I can't even bring myself to open them.
If the Daily Mail, or anyone else with an axe or an opinion, says that I am better off as a single parent then who am I to disagree?Retail is the only therapy that works0 -
What makes me laugh is that my parents read the Daily Mail and mum will go off on one about single parents.....and then says "well not you of course, you are different!"
As for being a single parent or part of a couple, give me part of a couple anyday...financially doesn't worry me but it is oh so nice to have someone to hold you when you are down, to share in the joy when something good happens or just someone to talk to on an adult level.
Oh and the sex is good too!:rotfl:
Seriously, being part of a couple would mean I could go back to work in the evenings whilst the significant other did the child caring duties and eventually, be better off than I am now.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

You see I am completely the opposite, I would rather be shot dead at dawn than do the gruesome twosome thing.
You do realise that you can have sex outside a committed relationship Sue?
Not that I am advocating it:A

Hehe....afraid I can't do casual sex, just not me really.
And going out socialising is as rare as hens teeth for me!We made it! How do you know?
Is it something your parents read in the Daily Mail and convinced you is true?
I am not recommending shagging the first passerby you come across but if you honestly miss sex, pick someone up now and again.
If you dont tell and they dont it never really happened.......Retail is the only therapy that works0
