House extension

Wonder if anyone can help? My wife and I are thinking of asking my mother in law ( Pam ) if she would like to come and live with us as she is becoming a little frail. We would like to build a single storey extension at the rear of our terraced house so she can have a bedroom/ bathroom linking to our lounge. We think a 5m x 6m extension for the two rooms would be adequate.
Does anyone know a ball-park figure for a 30m2 extension. We have very high loft space that would be suitable for conversion but feel that due to Pams dodgy hips she is best based on the ground floor.
Any figures or fresh ideas gratefully received.
Neil

The usual very approximate guide is £1000 per m2, so £30k in your case. It varies on finish, specification etc. and where you are in the country (central London expensive, south Wales valleys cheaper). I'd check with the planning department that you are likely to get permission before you do anything else.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Hi
We had a 4m x 8m extension 2 yrs ago, very good local builder (in Devon), the build cost about £22,000 plus decorating etc.0 -
Hi,
We had an extension on the back of our house last year ... 5m x 3m ... it cost us £15k
But we had no decoration on the inside. It was for my new kitchen & all they did was put up the shell, plaster it, electrics & plumbing.
We then painted, tiled the floor & fitted the kitchen ... it was the only way we could afford it!
We are in the NW btw as i guess area is an issue with how much you will pay.
