£80 to run a boiler

    The boiler doesn't look too old. We don't use a great deal of hot water, with us being in and out then we aren't washing up very often, I've been having showers at my parents as the shower doesn't work.
    Managed to turn another rad off, the other two don't have thermostats on them to switch off at all.
    It has been quite cold here once it goes dark so have needed the heat.
    Can I check the meter reading? It's a card meter with a digital display and do BG have to tell me what they are charging per unit?
    Thinking about it they said I would get something in writing welcoming me which hasn't turned up.

    Finaly question boiler is on an internal wall, the bedroom is above it, I'm not sure where the flue wold go for this, it has to have a flue doesn't it??

    Modern boilers are room sealed, the flue will go horizontally out through the wall-look outside the wall it's hung on.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
