Received a letter from Tesco advising my interest is being dropped from 18.5 to 14.5 percent. MBNA rates now about 11.5 and Lloyds airmiles cc rate now 12 percent.
However citi card have advised me my rate has gone up to 35 percent.
Its a funny old world!!!!!!!!!

I had a letter from tesco the other day stating that my interest rate is going to increase and giving me the option of contacting them and freezing the rate at it's current amount. Which is funny since I'm currently on 0% as I used the card for a balance transfer.
What do you guys think ? if I did call them and they gave it to me does freexing your rate adversely affect your credit rating in the future?0 -
Now THIS is a joke.
I contacted them a while back asking for a better rate (currently 16.9%) for being such a good customer, never missed a payment, even speaking to managers - who said they could do nothing.
Asked them was it instead better for me to leave them completely and they would lose my business - they reckoned yes. Could not understand it. Baffled me.0 -

If you're such a good customer paying 16.9%, why would they offer you less?
Did you leave them? Perhaps they did lose out. Perhaps from experience they don't take it so seriously when people threaten to leave.0 -
Tesco - "OMG we've lost a CC customer....that will make huge dent in our billions profit"....not0

My rate is going up with Tesco - odd as I always clear the 1500 - 2K balance in full each month.0
