Powerpoint help please

Hi i'm doing a course and need to do like a family tree, with boxes connecting the structure of an organisation ,our tutor said use powerpoint , can anyone help -do i have to payor can i download free software

    you can download a software package called openoffice which is, in laymans terms, a free version of microsoft office. That will have a programme on it similar to microsoft powerpoint which you can use.

    Do be aware though that if you share the files, not all of the formats are fully compatable with Microsoft office (eg someone using microsoft may not be able to open a presentation that you create using open office software).

    I have happily used openoffice in the past and have found it to be quite intuitive and user friendly
