Ryanair flight chance - advice needed asap!

Hi folks, I have just received an email telling me the 4 flights I've booked for me,wife and kids in June have changed. From reading the email because the flight times have changed by more than 2 hours I can apply for a full refund. My question is can I request the full refund (£360) when booked and then rebook at the price now (£215) ? I can't really see anything saying I can't but am worried if I request the refund and rebook ( would want to do it now to be sure of the flights ) they could see it was the same names booked and maybe cancel the booking! Any advice would greatly appreciated - especially if someone else has been in the same situation!

  • When I used to work for a Airline and there was a schedule change and the flights were cheaper and somebody asked me this question I would tell them to cancel and re book(if they were getting full refund) Cant stop you but at same time I dont work for Ryanair so not sure if they are the same. Either that try calling them and ask if they will give you the cheaper price.

    It's perfectly fine to cancel for a refund and rebook. Although I havent done it I know others have on the forum.

    Just be careful about one issue: there may only be one or two seats available at the new lower fare, and it is possible that the total price for all your family might be higher now than when you first booked. So check that it offers all the seats you need at the lower fare.

    Yes.

    But book the seats now (that way you are sure you have got them). Then cancel the original booking and get your full refund.
  • Thanks for the replies guys, cheaper flights still available.

    Looking through the terms and conditions;

    FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS AND SCHEDULE CHANGES

    If your flight is cancelled or before the date of travel, is rescheduled so as to depart more than three hours before or after the original departure time then you will be entitled to a travel credit or full refund of all monies paid if the alternative flight/s offered are not suitable to you and you do not travel.

    My worry is the part 'you do not travel'. If i book the now cheaper flights then request a refund for the original more expensive flights could they not check I've not rebooked - if they do and notice I have - could they not refuse to refund?
