DVD Recorder - Not as described?

Not really much use in this case, but I'm quite surprised you can't dub recordings from hard drive to DVD at high speed... it's a pretty basic feature and I'm sure it's possible on the models I sell at work. Even Samsung's TERRIBLE DVD HDD does it.

Well, OH took the recorder back last night and Argos refunded the money with no quibbles. He was quite relieved as he had psyched himself up for having to argue with them.

In hindsight he says that he should have done more research as other posters have suggested! Normally he is a cautious type, but the fact that the product was reduced price and it was the last one in stock made him rush in and grab it.

Lesson learned: before you rush for the "special offer" make sure it's really what you want before handing over your cash!

I would always at least double check specs and if possible check them on the manufacturers website.

I think too often these specs (although possibly not in this case) are just cut and pasted.

But you seem to have got a result.
