BMI baby credit card - free flight offer

I have applied for and received my BMI baby credit card.

Has anyone else experienced the problems outlined below when trying to book the "free flight" offer?

In support of the comments of Mark Brocklehurst and Pam West don't get a BMIBaby card. I got the card, spent on it, got the e-mail with my unique code, tried to find a flight from Manchester to Malaga - only five outbound available between now and April 30 07. All in Jan or Mar and NO RETURN FLIGHTS!!! I thought this offer was supposed to be for RETURN flights! So how come they have some going out but none coming back? Have raised this with CitiBank, the card operator, on the basis that I was sold the card under what some sceptics might call false pretences. They say they will raise it with BMIBaby. Watch this space. Just as well we found out about this before we spent the £5000 in the second year and tried to redeem the free flight.

Another mug who has fell for the BMI credit card scam, not a single return flight available on any route in the six month window they give you after receiving their code. Tried customer relations and after a month received a letter to tell me they can only offer seats if they don't think fare paying passengers demands will be met. At the moment they anticipate all seats will be sold so unfortunately the offer cannot be redeemed. Having just returned from Malaga with over 30 seats empty, I wonder who is kidding who. Will use Monarch, easyjet, jet2 in the future for a more professional attitude to customers

BMI Baby - Whilst at Nottingham East Midlands airport was approached by BMI staff and offered BME credit card. All you have to do is spend £2 on it and you can have a free return flight anytime and anywhere BMI fly. Took the offer up and 2 weeks after my statement I got an email with a code number for a free return flight. Put the code number in the box on their site where asked and tried to book a flight from Nottingham to Palma. Every single date that I put in came up with "we either dont fly on this day or the flight is fully booked", however, if you go on the site as a normal customer there are places on every single flight from Nottingham to Mallorca. Another BMI con, when will we ever learn!!!

Then report them to Trading standards.
The card issuer can't be blamed here - this is an issue with Bmibaby.
