HI Guys
We have an old downstairs loo with no sink, we are hoping to extend the toilet area to accomodate a sink. Is it possible to have the waste from the sink going straight into the toilet waste pipe as there is no drain near outside? if so how?
Cheers for any help
John

We once rented a flat which had a similar setup, except it was both sink and bath going into the toilet waste. Problem was the toilet waste pipe, came down from the flat above, into our bathroom and then across for quite a distance, through our bedroom before going down to drain.
The large distance of pipe with no gradient often got blocked. Thus whenever upstairs flushed their loo, we got their !!!! backing up into our loo and bath! Pretty foul
The maintenance chap for the property informed us this arrangement was against building regs and that the toilet should always be on a separate waste pipe to everything else. Dunno how much truth there is in that, but the above situation might be worth considering...0 -
My sink and bath waste water go into my main downpipe so yes, it is fine.0

yes you can i have the same set up in my downstairs toiletDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
It all finishes up going down the same drain in the end.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Yes you can do this. If the soil pipe connector on the WC is a plastic one then you could swap it for one with a connection for 1 1/4" waste pipe and connect the basin waste upto that - a job for rubber gloves though!0

Yes you can connect sink waste to toilet soil pipe but from memory need a minimum 50mm trap on the sink to stop trap water being sucked out when you flush leading to a smelly bathroom! You can also get a stap on boss to accept sink pipe these require hole drilling and correct glue to connect.0
