Weird credit card problem - advice please

That was one of the strange things - the street address and town were correct but the post code was completely wrong. Strangely the Royal Mail still managed to find us!0

The police wont be interested although they might give you a crime number if you insist.
The Fraud Act 2006 made it the banks responsibility to report card fraud. You just report it to the bank
The theory is that it saves the public inconvenience reporting it to both the police and the banks.. My cynical view is that the banks rarely report it and thus it cuts crime figures !
That's interesting. However, if the Police can't be bothered by an individual's complaint, I do wonder what hope there is of them investigating a data dump on them by the banks.0 -
just to throw something else into the mix... this happened to a friend of mine.
angry insane jealous ex girlfriend had his credit card details somehow and kept buying stuff and sending it to his house! think she did it just to get a reaction and get his attention to be honest. he threatened her with police and said it would potentially ruin her career (she was training to be a teacher)
so that soon stopped her!
if they have his details and everything on it seems a bit weird some scammer going to all that trouble for no gain on their part (if everything is going to your house?)
perhaps try looking a littler closer to home?
PMSL - That's made her feel much better (and his girlfriends pretty miffed that you have cottoned on to her scheme as well

It's up to the credit card company to investigate the fraud but they won't do this without a crime reference number.Getting married 02.08.14

mmm thanks for the tip. I shall try that excuse next time she who must be obeyed gets to the post before me. :rotfl:My husband received an unsolicited parcel on Saturday from an adult website.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! Wow thats quite creepy.
I agree with everyone on here, but also would be wondering wny my bank had not contacted me sooner regarding the other transactions, assuming they were not usual for your husband.
Last year, I had USD$2000 taken from my account twice, then refunded the next day from 'Panda' something in a country I had never been to. Concerned, I called me bank and they agreed, suspicious, yet had not called me, contacted me or done anything. I have since switched banks!:beer:0
