RAC HPI - Finance Outstanding?

Hi Guys,

Can you guys help me decipher what is included in the results of my RAC HPI check for a Mini Cooper I'm about to purchase from a private owner?

The plate history section details the following:

Alert Details

Plate Transfer
  • The current plate was transferred to this vehicle on 10/03/2008
  • W17### was applied to this vehicle on 23/08/2007
    • This VRM has been recorded as having an outstanding finance agreement
    • An outstanding finance agreement was recorded on 21/05/2009 against a CHRYSLER NITRO 28 CRD SX
  • HE02### was applied to this vehicle on 31/05/2006
    • There are no interests recorded against HE02###
  • RX52### was applied to this vehicle on 07/10/2002
    • There are no interests recorded against RX52### (Current plate)
I assume it's saying that the W17 plate to the car on 23/08/2007 is now attached to the Chrysler which has outstanding finance?? Or am I wrong?

Help much appreciated!!

Thanks!

I'm actually slightly confused by all that (as are you obviously) I'll be interested to see who can decipher it all.
  • Yes you are correct there is no outstanding finance on the MINI currently registered (RX52).The outstanding finance is on the Chrysler which now has a plate that was previously on the MINI (W17).
