Thank you all so much for your great comments. We're going to Bognor as it's the nearest to us. We're staying in the hotel as we got a 50% off deal. I can't wait now. We've been to Haven the last couple of years and have always had fun. :-)0

Whenever the sun do their cheap holidays there are lots of people on MSE desperate to get butlins - myself included
My brother tried it last year and wasn't keen, but that's because he prefers quiet sites with not much apart from a beach. I suppose Butlins is busy in that respect, always lots going on.
Must admit I've looked at the queues for the evening entertainments and been glad that none of us wanted to go. We wanted a photoshoot with pingu one time, and had to go into a nightclub venue where it was jam-packed and stiflingly hot. It's not our cup of tea really, but we love the daytime stuff.
the swimming pools are fab, and we love funfairs.52% tight0 -

I hope not, we're going to Butlins Skegness in a few weeks!
I was a bit worried about going to Haven last year after reading negative reviews but we had a great time. If you liked Haven I'm sure you'll enjoy Butlins. If anything there seem to be more bad reviews about Haven. I think some people just like to find something to complain about tbh.0 -
We've just booked to go Butklins Skegness w/end in the summer hols. I also started a thread about it the other day and immediately got told I wouldn't like it cos we normally go to CP, but no one has explained exactly why they think we wouldn't like it, other than to say the food is expensive and busy but we are going SC. We need things 'on tap' as we have my 86yo nan who can't walk too far with us.
We became interested after seeing that Brainiac are doing a show there cos of our science mad DS and also cos we have done CP about half a doxen times and fancied something different for a short break.0 -
Hi Spendless, I commented on your thread, and it was because of the negative comments that people made on there, that I started this thread. Lets hope we all have a great time :-)
Jellyhead - we're like you, not really into the night life. Lots to do in the day to exhaust a 2 1/2 year old, then we're all in bed by 8pm!!0
