This is a bit of a joke really, just logged on to live chat to see if I could get it back, as I thought if they do this to all customers they will probably make a lot of money..heres what I got..
Me: I ordered a DVD recorder order number xxxxxxx from you on the 6th July, on 7th July you took 1p off my credit card, the DVD recorder was no longer in stock (was when I ordered) so I thought fair enough as thought you'd deduct the penny when you took the full amount, you have since taken the £284.99 the full order total so have taken 1p too much from my card, I know its only a penny, just seems wrong, can I have my 1p back please?
Them: I would suggest you to contact our customer support at 0870 4296000, and they would be in a better position to help you out in this regard.
Me: so i have to call an 0870 to get my 1p back lol
Them: Yes.
Me: hmm thanks for nothing...
Any thoughts?

Tell them you want the 1p AND the cost of the call as it was their fault.Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0

Claim it back through your credit card protection? I wouldn't let it drop as a matter of principle. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

Diabolical. I demand compensation.
Sorry ...
A friend actually suggested something like this the other week. He accidentally transferred some money to my bank account(?!!), so I sent it back with 2p interest.
He then decided he was going to do it on a mass scale to make money ... and then realised just how long it would take him!!!Gone ... or have I?0 -
As it is just about impossible to get a smaller tham than this, I think that it is a perfect case for small claims court
.
Alternativey...
... contact them on live chat and suggest they call you.
... make a revese chargs call to them
... tel them to refund the penny, or it will cost them a lot more when you get the credit card company to do a charge back.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Saynoto0870 gave this number as an alternative 01226 751155 .. although it would still probably cost you more in a phone call
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0
