Does anyone know of a Basic Bank account that I can open in the UK - even though I live in Spain?. When we moved here 5 years ago I closed my UK Bank account, & opened a Spanish account. However now that I am coming up to retirement, I would like somewhere to bank in the UK, no credit, just an account I can put money into/withdraw at ATM's when I'm in the UK, and maybe set up direct debits. If you have an account with Banco Halifax Hispania they 'may' be able to help you sort a UK Sterling account with Halifax UK.
