Friday weddings - are they cheaper?

Not as much as you could've saved a few years ago but this is our friday related savings...
Venue - 5% officially for fridays (although we managed to negotiate more than this)
Wedding car 50%
Flowers - none
Hair & Make up - not really a discount but was able to get people who otherwise were booked up.
Clothing is a big chunk of our budget and obviously that isn't discounted. Neither are things like favours etc that you buy from a shop.
Photographer is much cheaper - done almost at cost because a saturday is the money making day.
One of the things I liked about the friday wedding is the more distant friends and family didn't assume they would be coming like people seem to with a saturday.Bump due 22nd September0 -
Our wedding is on Friday and although our venue isn't any cheaper it was easier to secure the better prices and also you have a better pick of the cheaper options. We went to look at cars and although we could book the Friday the next day was fully booked.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0

Our venue was cheaper by over £1000 for having it on a Friday and parents of the bride/groom had a free room upgrade for weddings on a Fri or Sun.
I've found the main benefit is that the venue were more flexible with minimum numbers which was great for us.
Hopefully we'll get get a better choice of people for cars/ photos etc..:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Like most people we're getting married on a Friday, but absolutely nothing has been cheaper because of the day - its just with getting engaged a year until we wanted to get married and looking for a venue 'only' 12 months to go, we didn't have a choice!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0
