I've never been but I remember it being in the news last year. We'd thought about collecting the Sun tokens and trying it.

We went to Craig Tara last year and loved it.0 -
Hi there - I know it was last year that you originally posted on this forum
Did you stay at Silvercliffs last July and if so how was it?
We are booked to go for 4 nights. it is really only a place to lay our heads as we are going around the tourist attractions and it worked out cheaper than a hotel (sun holidays)
Would appreciate your comments though x0 -
I would avoid it like the plague but then it's not the kind of site that appeals to me. In my experience a site with a bar always goes hand in hand with anti-social behaviour, domestics, kids being left to run wild and being neglected by their parents. Then they charge through the roof for the provision of all these extra amenities, when all kids really need is the freedom to run, climb, make friends and play. You don't need a bells and whistles caravan site for that.
The rape that happened at silvercliffs was when the parents were propping up the bar, the two girls were left unattended and the older girl was left in charge of her little sister. The group of boys were in the caravan, invited or not I don't know, and they raped her in front of her little sister. Where were the parents? There weren't where they should have been.0 -
Thanks for you comments Jadedson
- I can completely understand where you are coming from, with the kids being left to run whilst the parents have a holiday to themselves - seen it many times
What were your experience of the apartments/caravans like?
As I say - we are really only looking to use it as a base and will be out from early to the evening time.0
